Bioenergy with carbon capture and storage (BECCS) is emerging as a crucial tool in climate mitigation, offering both energy generation and net-negative emissions. The process involves using biomass, such as crops, wood, or organic waste, as fuel to produce energy, then subsequently capturing and permanently storing the resulting CO2 emissions.
