the coming year?
The Greater Bay Area is Chinese's government's scheme linking the cities of Hong Kong, Macau, Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Zhuhai, Foshan, Zhongshan, Dongguan, Huizhou, Jiangmen and Zhaoqing into an integrated economic and business hub.
In this survey, the Greater Bay Area figures include Hong Kong and the nine mainland China cities listed above. Data for Macau consumers is not available due to insufficient sample size.
100 consumers were surveyed in each of nine cities in mainland China and 500 consumers in Hong Kong.

This statistic shows the results of a survey about consumer expenditure plans in the coming year in the Greater Bay Area in China as of October 2018. During the survey period, around ** percent of respondents in the Greater Bay Area cities said they planned to increase their online spending in the coming year to the level where the online expenditure will be higher than their offline spending.
