This statistic illustrates the leading European banks by the number of Fintech's companies in their portfolio as of the second quarter of 2018. Large banks partner with, invest in or purchase FinTech companies based on their business strategy. Santander, who as of the second quarter of 2018 had a total of ** FinTech companies in their portfolio through equity financing have been an industry leader in using FinTech companies to improve their digital banking performance. The Royal Bank of Scotland at the same time had only *** FinTech in their portfolio as the bank has taken a different business strategy towards digital banking.
