The share of female individuals in Italy who have been binge drinking at least once a year fluctuated between 2005 and 2022. The lowest ratio of Italian women who drank alcoholic beverages excessively within a short period of time was reported in 2013 and 2014, when a plateau was reached at 2.5 percent. In 2022, around 3.7 percent of females in the country had at least one episode of binge drinking.
