Between 2008 and 2024, the share of women aged between 25 and 64 years undergoing cervical cancer screening during the previous three years in Italy increased overall. In 2019, the share of women undertaking tests able to diagnose cervical cancer was equal to approximately ** percent, the highest figure recorded during the period under consideration. In 2024, this percentage totaled **** percent. The age group 25 to 64 is the one for which it is recommended for women to do a cervical cancer screening every three years.
