According to a survey carried out among postmenopausal women in five European countries, those in Italy spent on average the highest amount of out-of-pocket costs when treating their menopause-related symptoms. In Italy, during the menopause an average of ** euros was spent on doctor consultations or visits, compared to just **** euros in the UK.
