About 41 percent of U.S. homeowners who renovated their home in 2025 used the help of a construction professional. Most of these respondents (29 percent) sought a general contractor. Meanwhile, about one-fifth of all respondents hired a design-related professional. For about eight percent of respondents, this was an interior designer.
