During a 2019 survey conducted among convention and meeting industry professionals in the United States, it was found that close to half of respondents (49 percent) reported no change in their convention and meeting budget from 2018 to 2019, while 36 percent reported a budget increase. At that time, 11 percent of respondents believed their budgets would decrease in 2020.
