In a 2019 survey of convention and meetings industry professionals from the United States a question was asked about the current and future attendance to their exhibitions. According to the results, 46 percent of respondents expected attendance at their largest events to remain the same in the year 2020. The survey was conducted before the coronavirus outbreak that largely crippled the entire industry.
