In 2024, the average annual consumer expenditure of a four-person household was 109,002 U.S. dollars in the United States. Interestingly, when there were five or more people in a household, spending declined compared to four-person households. Average annual spending across all consumer units amounted to around 78,535 U.S. dollars.
