According to a 2024 survey carried out in the United States, older adults were more likely to feel people with mental health conditions were viewed negatively by society. Three-quarters of over 65-year-olds thought society viewed mental health conditions negatively, compared to 65 percent of 18-to 29-year-olds. Yet at the same time, younger adults were more likely to think society views people with mental health issues as very negative.
