Since the outbreak of the new type of coronavirus, Latin American consumers have shown a greater tendency to engage in online activities. According to a survey conducted in April 2020, 77 percent of the people who participated in the survey in Mexico stated their intention to make online purchases of groceries and cleaning products. Chilean consumers, for their part, were more inclined to online medical consultations, as 75 percent of respondents in this country said they were willing to schedule a medical appointment over the internet. Meanwhile, Colombians who responded to the survey were the most likely to organize online family dinners.
