This chart shows the amount of investments granted by the European Investment Bank (EIB) to the member states of the European Union in 2022 in millions of euros. France is the second country to have received the most investments, with a total amount of *** billion euros, the same as Spain. Italy is the top beneficiary country, having received ** billion euros in 2022. Germany, for its part, benefited from *** billion euros.
The EIB's role is to finance projects that contribute to achieving the objectives of the European Union and includes within it the European Investment Fund. In 2022, the EIB announced that it focused its investments on projects aimed at combating global warming.
