Coal restriction policies have been adopted by 87 international banks, 51 insurance and reinsurance firms, 17 export credit agencies (ECAs), seven multilateral development banks (MDBs), three development financial institutions (DFIs) and one central bank, each with assets over 10 billion U.S. dollars. In addition to that, coal restriction policies have been adopted by 36 asset managers and owners, including pension funds with portfolios exceeding 50 billion U.S. dollars.
