According to a survey conducted in 2025 among parents living with children in the United States, action video games such as platform or fighting games were the most popular for fathers, as ** percent of respondents from this group reported playing them. On the other hand, casual games were preferred by mothers, as ** percent of them reported playing this type of video game. Only ** percent of mothers reported playing sports video games, compared to ** percent of fathers.
