According to a 2024 survey conducted among parents in the United States, 89 percent of respondents held the opinion that parental figures held the most responsibility for ensuring their child's online safety. Almost one third of parents also thought that children were the most responsible for keeping themselves safe online, while 19 percent of respondents thought that digital or social media platforms and companies were responsible.Â
