According to a survey conducted in 2025, 73 percent of parents in the United States were worried about their child being exposed to predatory behavior online, making this the main parental concern surrounding the internet usage of children. 68 percent of parents were also worried about their child seeing age-inappropriate content, while 66 percent of parents were concerned about their child giving away personal information. Other concerns among parents included cyberbullying, spending too much time online, and accidentally downloading viruses.
