According to a 2024 survey conducted among Australian consumers, around ** percent of those surveyed were willing to pay more for locally produced or sourced products. Consumer willingness to pay more for products made from recycled, sustainable, or eco-friendly materials or from a company with a reputation for eco-friendly business practices was also relatively high. Nonetheless, the share of respondents that would be happy to pay a premium of ** percent of above for these product features was fairly low, at just one in ** consumers surveyed.
