A 2024 survey conducted among Australians regarding consumer practices surrounding clothing disposal revealed that disposing of wearable but unwanted clothing through donation was the most popular disposal route, at around ** percent of respondents frequently using this method. Giving clothing items to neighbors, friends, and family members was another frequently used method, as well as mending, reusing, or repurposing items.
