This statistic is based on the annual EU survey on the use of Information and Communication Technologies in households and individuals. Data are collected on a yearly basis by the National Statistical Institutes and are based on Eurostat's annual model questionnaire.Â
Data refers to the share of individuals who used the internet for internet banking within the last three months before the survey. Internet banking includes electronic transactions with a bank for payment and similar activities, or for looking up account information.Â

As of 2025, the largest share of individuals using online banking services in Germany were between 25 and 34 years old. Over percent of German people in this age group used online banking services that year, followed by percent of people between the ages of 35 and 44 years. The lowest share of individuals making use of online banking services were those between the ages of 65 and 74 years, at around percent.
