Seats distribution after the European election in Italy 2024, by party
The right-wing party Brothers of Italy, members of the European Conservatives and Reformists group, won ** out of the ** seats allocated to Italy in the European Parliament. Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni's party recorded the best performance compared to the previous elections in 2019, when it secured only *** members of the Parliament (MEPs). The Democratic Party, which belongs to the S&D group, is the second most-represented faction with ** MEPs, in line with the 2019 result. The Five-Star Movement and the League significantly lost their representation, with a respective decline of *** and ** MEPs. To elect MEPs, parties had to overcome a **** percent electoral threshold. Only formations have been able to gain at least one of the ** seats.
