After the 2022 elections, Brothers of Italy was the party which registered the largest growth compared to the previous 2018 polls. In fact, it augmented from four to 26 percent, recording the best result since the party's foundation in 2013. On the contrary, the Five-Star Movement registered the worst performance, loosing more than half of their consensus in 2018. The Democratic Party, the Left and More Europe confirmed in the last election their 2018 score. Brothers of Italy's outstanding performance allowed its leader Giorgia Meloni to be appointed Presidente del Consiglio dei Ministri, i.e., Prime Minister, the first woman since the Italian unification in 1861.
