The Democratic Party (PD) has constantly been the political association collecting the largest private contributions from taxpayers. This ranged from *** million euros in 2016 to **** million euros in 2024. Between 2016 and 2020, the League was the second most chosen party, able to collect up to million euros in 2019. This curve is consistent with the one describing the share of votes won, as in the same year the right-wing faction secured almost ** percent of the consensus, the best result since its foundation. However, from 2021, Brothers of Italy (FdI) became the second most selected party, after a growth started in 2018, which allowed FdI to raise ****million euros in 2024, while other political formations we around *** million euros.
