In 2022, companies in the information and communication technology (ICT) sector were the most active in implementing cybersecurity measures in Spain. Over ** percent of such firms applied at least some cybersecurity measures, while ** percent implemented all cybersecurity measures, which include usage of strong passwords, software updates, biometric identification, data encryption and backup, network access control, VPN, systems monitoring, etc. Companies focused specifically on information and communication showed a similar high adoption of cybersecurity measures, with ** percent of such bodies implementing at least some cybersecurity measure and ** percent implementing all possible actions.
