In 2024-2025, the Gates Foundation was the largest contributor to the World Health Organization (WHO), contributing around 761 million U.S. dollars in voluntary contributions. Meanwhile, the United States, which was previously the largest contributer, decreased its voluntary donations for the biennium and has officially left the World Health Organization as of January 22, 2026.
