On average, vegan products were around ** percent more expensive than their animal counterparts in German grocery stores in 2024. The price difference between vegan and animal products was particularly high at Edeka, with a difference of ** percent. Only at Lidl was the vegan basket percent cheaper than the animal-based basket in 2024.
