On average, a vegan shopping basket with ** product types cost around euros in Germany in 2024.  At euros, the price of a basket of animal-based products was lower than that of plant-based products. Prices for vegan products were particularly high at Edeka. Here, the price of vegan products amounted to euros per shopping basket. This means that the plant-based substitute products at Edeka were ** percent more expensive than the animal products.
