In January 2024, 31 percent of respondents in Portugal preferred a post-general elections scenario of a right-wing coalition government led by the Democratic Alliance (AD), while 23 percent favored a left-wing coalition government led by the Socialist Party (PS). With 15 percent was the scenario of a government endorsed by the Socialist Party (PS) and the Social Democratic Party (PSD). These values indicated a divided electorate.
