According to a survey conducted in South Korea in 2025, around ** percent of respondents reported that they believe preparing for death is a natural part of life. This was the most commonly agreed upon sentiment, closely followed by wanting to be able to make their own decisions regarding their life and death. Passive euthanasia was legalized in South Korea in 2018 and is reserved for the terminally ill with no chance of recovery.
