As of 2019 assisted suicide remains illegal in all parts of Great Britain despite multiple legal challenges in recent years. Although it is currently illegal, assisted suicide in cases of terminal illness has support in Great Britain, with ** percent of the general British population and ** percent of British healthcare professionals believing that it should be legal in these circumstances.
