A quantitative study was conducted covering 937 decision-makers from primarily small (22%) and medium-sized (67%) companies who are involved in ESG decisions. The study covered China, Hong Kong, India, Taiwan, Indonesia, and Singapore, connecting with approximately 150 people in each region.

Leading sources of ESG guidance for SMEs in the Asia Pacific 2023
As of 2023, the primary source of environmental, social, and corporate governance (ESG) guidance listed by small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) surveyed was government bodies. Roughly ** percent of SMEs mentioned government agencies as a source of guidance. Non-profit organizations were noted by the lowest number of SMEs with ** percent of respondents including them as a source of ESG guidance.
