Development of sustainable finance policy regulations introduced worldwide 2014-2024
There were a total of ** sustainable finance policies in 2024. The vast majority of these policies were implemented by the G20 member countries. Sustainability-dedicated financial products have gained popularity recently, aiding in the funding and execution of institutional sustainable development goals. Regulation of sustainability-dedicated financial products has been largely a voluntary practice by the private sector and international initiatives, but more recently, governments have begun introducing regulations. About ** percent of the policies were created in the past five years, addressing policy gaps in areas including taxonomies, product standards, and carbon pricing.
