In 2022, a survey of women aged between 45 and 55 years in the United Kingdom (UK) found that a significant share had their ability to work impacted by menopause symptoms. Among women who took time off due to menopause symptoms, around ** percent said the main reason they gave their employer was they were off due to anxiety or depressions. Furthermore, a fifth of respondents said they were suffering from another physical illness rather than telling their employer about the menopause symptoms.
