A May 2022 survey found that having fun and to generally have an enjoyable experience was the most popular reason for adult gamers in Canada to play video games. In total, 48 percent of respondents selected fun as a reason why they played games. To unwind, relax, decompress or to de-stress was ranked second with 47 percent of respondents selecting this option.
