The 2022 edition of the gaming convention Gamescom in Germany generated significant buzz both in social media and in traditional outlets. Overall, 72 percent of company mentions in the context of Gamescon referred to gaming companies or brands, such as Xbox or Nintendo, and 23 percent to hardware companies, such as Samsung. The remaining five percent was led by automotive brands, such as Mini or Porsche.
