In the first round of the Brazilian presidential elections, held on the *** of October 2022, Jair Bolsonaro was the most voted candidate in ** federative units , while Lula won in the other ** units. The distribution of votes shows a marked geographical division, with the PT candidate being preferred in the Northeast and incumbent president Bolsonaro gathering most votes in the South and Central-West regions.
Bolsonaro got its best result in the northern state of Roraima, where percent of the valid ballots cast were for him. As for Lula, he was particularly popular in PiauÃ, where percent of electors voted for him.
