According to a survey conducted in selected Asian countries in February and March 2022, 46 percent of all Muslim respondents in Asia were planning to spend more during Ramadan in 2022 compared to the previous year. The share of respondents who will be spending more was the highest in India, valuing to 76 percent. Furthermore, 53 percent of respondents from Indonesia responded that they will spend the same amount on celebrations of Ramadan as the previous year.
