are more concerned by the climate emergency than [their] government is" while 408 respondents agreed that "[their] government is more concerned by the climate emergency than [they] are".

Car purchasing intention in the U.S. by vehicle type and government view 2021
According to a 2021 survey by the European Investment Bank, over half of U.S. participants who felt they were more concerned about the climate emergency than the government also had interest in purchasing a fully-electric or hybrid vehicle. In contrast, almost a third of respondents who felt the government was more concerned about the climate emergency than them would buy a petrol or diesel vehicle.
