Mobile video call usage reach 2025, by age and gender
During the second quarter of 2025, around 40.7 percent of female internet users aged between 16 and 24 years were using their mobile devices or smartphones to make video calls. Only 34.2 percent of men in the same age group were doing the same. Mobile video communication apps have become increasingly popular in recent years, with WhatsApp counting approximately three billion monthly active users as of October 2025.
