Between 2015 and 2020, the Digital Economy and Society Index (DESI) score of all European member states combined experienced an upward trend in internet use and online activities. Internet usage grew the most in the European Union, while online transactions have struggled to lift off in the examined period. In 2019, Finland was the member state with the highest DESI score in internet usage.
