Dacia’s financial performance

In 2024, the company achieved record revenue of approximately 27.8 billion Romanian lei, marking its highest turnover since 2013. Net profit also followed a positive trajectory, reaching 569.6 million lei in 2024, which was an improvement compared to 529 million lei the year before. However, the peak of profitability was recorded in 2018, when Dacia earned over 752 million lei, highlighting the brand’s ability to generate substantial earnings even during volatile market conditions.

Sales and market developments

Beyond financial performance, Dacia maintained a dominant position in both domestic and international markets. In 2024, the company sold a total of 676,340 vehicles worldwide, representing a 2.7 percent increase from 2023, with the Sandero model leading sales at over 309,000 units. However, the Dacia Spring, the brand’s flagship electric car, experienced a significant decline of 63 percent in 2024 due to reductions in government grants for electric vehicles. In Romania, the passenger car market volumes reflected a different picture, with 41,235 Dacia vehicles sold in 2024, compared to 45,843 in 2023. Meanwhile, in the fast-growing electric car sector, Dacia outperformed global competitors in the first half of 2025, selling 1,159 electric vehicles, ahead of Tesla with 362 units and Renault with 220.
