As of 2024, Romania had a total of 4,566 public EV charging stations, with the majority being medium-speed three-phase AC chargers (2,596 units). DC fast and ultra-fast chargers are also well-represented, with 1,610 stations offering speeds above 50 kW, including 542 ultra-fast Level 1 and nine Level 2 chargers. In contrast, slow AC chargers under 7.4 kW were scarce, with only seven stations nationwide.
