In August 2020, Apple removed Epic Games' battle royale title Fortnite from the Apple App Store after the publisher started offering its own direct payment system that bypassed Apple's standard 30 percent fee, which includes in-app transactions. An August 2020 survey of iOS Fortnite users in the Unites States found that over 43 percent of respondents agreed with this move, compared to approximately 41 percent who disagreed.
