In the fourth quarter of 2020 in Morocco, the number of self-employed people in the rural areas was higher than that of employees, and it represented **** percent of the employed labor force in the rural communities (*** million people). Rural employees were *** percentage points less than the rural self-employed. Overall, rural personnel in the country is low compared to urban employment. Furthermore, self-employment in 2020 remained considerably higher in rural communities than urban ones.
