Furthermore, the informal employment rate was approximately ** and ** percent in the non-manufacturing and services industries, respectively. A smaller percentage of people were instead employed in the manufacturing sector, corresponding to about ** percent. Overall, almost ** percent of the total working population in Tunisia was employed in the informal sector in the fourth quarter of 2019.
