The most used online marketplace by Italian e-commerce companies was Amazon, according to the results of a survey conducted in 2026, chosen by ** percent of the companies surveyed. Facebook Marketplace came second, chosen by ***percent of the firms. 

Amazon dominates the market

Approximately **** million unique users, almost one in two Italian inhabitants, visited the Amazon platform in the first quarter of 2023. Furthermore, the percentage of online users shopping on Amazon was the highest in Italy, if compared to consumers from other European countries. The impressive figures showcase the marketplace’s popularity in Italy.

Taking customer experience to the next level

Amazon’s good reputation in Italy is due to the satisfying customer experience the company provides. In a 2023 survey, Italian consumers rated Amazon’s broad product offering with a score of *** out of 10, while product convenience was the second-most important advantage shoppers mentioned.
