Online sales of alcoholic beverages have exploded due to the outbreak of the coronavirus in the United States in 2020. In the week ended April 25, 2020, online sales of alcohol were up 477 percent compared to the previous year. In-store sales, while up 26 percent, were far lower than online sales.
