According to the results of a survey conducted during the first week of a nation-wide lockdown due to the coronavirus (COVID-19) in India, mobile apps for social networking saw a spike in usage. Around 80 percent of respondents stated that they had increased their use of the video calling app, Zoom Video, while 79 percent had used the Houseparty more than in the previous week.
