The variations were calculated by taking the index of 1.0 the week of March 2-8 and comparing it to sales made the week before. Unless otherwise stated, the indexes are based on the turnover of the various online players (except food, in number of orders), based on the panel of 500,000 digital consumers in Europe.

After the announcement of the confinement in France in March and April 2020 due to the coronavirus outbreak (Covid-19), the sales activity of orders through Drive applications, by percentage of online orders, was calculated by the source. Over the whole month of March and April, more than ** percent of orders were made through the Leclerc platform. Carrefour was not far behind reaching a peak of ** percent between the **** and **** of March 2020. As of May ***, Leclerc was still running strong, gaining almost half of online orders (** percent).
