During a March 2020 survey of social media users in the United States, 64 percent of respondents stated that if confined to their homes during the coronavirus, they would use YouTube more during that period. Many counties and cities in the United States have called upon residents to stay at home during the global coronavirus pandemic and subsequently, internet users turn to digital video and video-on-demand platforms to keep them entertained.
